THE CHECKMARK BONDS
The Checkmark Bonds carry a fixed rate of interest depending on the Series of Bonds being offering. Details regarding the Bonds and the interest rates may be found in the Offering Memorandum issued by CheckMark
CheckMark provides an alternative investment that my be held in your RRSP. The Bonds provide long term growth through reinvestment of interest each year.
CheckMark provides liquidity through cash redemptions on the fifth and tenth anniversary dates of the Bonds.
HOW TO INVEST
Evaluate CheckMark
Consult with an Exempt Market Dealer (EMD) to determine whether an investment in CheckMark Bonds is appropriate for my investment objectives
Meet a Representative
A Dealing Representative with the EMD will be able to answer your questions and determine whether you qualify as an “eligible investor” or an “accredited investor”
Review Offering Memorandum
Review the CheckMark Offering Memorandum which can be provided to you by a Dealing Representative of the EMD
Open New RRSP Account
To subscribe you must open a new self-directed RRSP account with a RRSP Trustee that has approved our Bonds. As an alternative investment, bank administered RRSP’s cannot be used do to bank policies
Transfer Cash
The new RRSP Trustee will assist you in transferring cash from your existing RRSP account to the new self-directed account.
Complete Subscription Agreement
Complete the Subscription Agreement. The EMD will assist you in completing the Subscription Agreement which will confirm your qualifications as an investor.
Transfer Funds to CheckMark
Upon receipt of the Subscription Agreement, the RRSP Trustee will transfer funds to CheckMark in payment for the Bonds
Online Process
For your convenience all consultations with the EMD and completion of all required documents may be completed on-line for signature
